    Following Paws is a pet care service located in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois. Following Paws is a member of PSI, insured, educated, and ready to provide the best care possible. To provide accountability for clients, Following Paws is powered by PetPocketBook. Clients can request appointments, see recent invoices, get updates on their pets, download visit photos, and more. Insurance: Insured by PCI Certification Number: PCI62312 Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm Service Hours: Monday-Sunday 8am to 9pm Before/After Service Hours (+$5/service): Monday-Sunday 6am to 8am 9pm to 11pm
  • Area of Service:
    Following Paws services Bloomington and Normal, Illinois. There is a $.50/mile travel fee for surrounding areas. (Please inquire to confirm if you are in the service are or not.)
  • What services do you offer?
    Services: - Drop-in Visits - Dog Walking - Local Transport - Kitten Grooming & Nail Trim Training - COMING SOON: Pet Photography Following Paws does not currently offer Overnights. To book Daytime Sitting or Drop-in Visits longer than 1 hour: - Request a Drop-in Visit for each hour needed. - Attach a note to your request stating these visits should be back to back. For example: 10am to 12:30pm House Sitting 10am (1hr visit) - 11am (1hr visit) - 12pm (30min. visit)
  • I filled out the contact form, now what?
    You will receive an email invitation from PPB. Once you accept to join, create your family profile, fill it out to the best of your ability, and request a Meet & Greet.
  • What is a Meet & Greet? Are they required?
    A Meet & Greet is required to obtain services. They are conducted to gain information about your pets care, update access instructions, to answer any questions you may have. Any and all pet info should be disclosed during this visit.
  • Emergency Protocols, Medications, & Vaccinations:
    Emergency/Veterinary Protocol & Release can be found in your PPB Documents section. Medications: Yes, Following Paws can dispense medications (NO IV), as needed. Vaccinations: All dogs must be up to date on all vaccinations such as Rabies, DPP, and Bordetella (proof required). All cats must be up to date on Rabies, FVRCP, and FeLV vaccines (proof required).
  • Cancellation Policy
    100% of the scheduled visits cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice prior. Clients returning home early, prior to booked service scheduled ending or clients departing later than the booked services are set to begin will be required to pay for the entire reservation in full as Following Paws is booked according to their availability at the time services are agreed upon.
  • Do you require microchip?
    No, it is not required but highly recommended. Collars and tags can be removed or come off, a microchip is an engraved form of identification.
  • What if I am caring for my friends pet and I want them to receive care or join my dogs scheduled walks?
    You should have your friend fill out the contact form. They will receive an invitation to join PPB, sign contracts, and agree to our policies.
  • Are you open on Holidays?
    Yes. Holidays are subject to a $15 fee per service completed. Please view the prices page for Holiday dates and prices. No additional pet fees*
  • What is PetPocketBook?
    PetPocketBook is the web app utilized to keep our client information, bookings, and communication in one place. Clients can request services, see report cards, and pay bills via PPB.
  • Can I download PetPocketBook?
    PPB is currently just a web app that operates from your browser. A mobile app is under construction. You can access PPB through the Pet Parent Portal or by visiting PetPocketBook.com How to add PPB to your Home Screen: 1. Open your profile using safari 2. Click the share button and click "Add to Home Screen" 3. Rename it "Following Paws" and click "Add".
  • After becoming a PPB member:
    You can request services by logging into your profile and selecting the date and timeframe. Before submitting, you can scroll down to see the estimated pricing.
  • How do I request your services?
    Once you have set up your family profile, you can go to the appointments tab and press "Request Appointments". Your first request should be a Meet & Greet.
  • How do I cancel an appointment?
    If you have to cancel a service that was booked, feel free to login to the PPB app, go to appointments, find the appointment you'd like to cancel, and press cancel. If there is a fee associated, it will prompt you to accept the fee or keep the service.
  • Payment & Billing:
    Invoices are sent out every Monday through PPB and should be paid same day via credit/debit card.
